AP Courses

O’Dowd offers more than 25 Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Placement in those courses is determined by individual academic departments. Student who wish to enroll in these courses must fulfill requirements in order to be eligible.

College Credit

Early College Credit Courses: Beginning in their sophomore year, students can take an online college course each semester and each summer. Participating students can earn between 3-21 units of transferable college credit.

California Scholarship Federation

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) exists to promote and recognize high standards of scholarship, service and citizenship on the part of students in California schools. O’Dowd has an official CSF chapter. Life membership requires one of the four semesters of membership to be in the senior year, so seniors are encouraged to apply early.

National Honor Society

National Honor Society recognizes and honors students throughout the United States who exemplify academic excellence, personal character, leadership and service to both school and community. Junior and senior students are eligible to submit an application.To be selected, students must demonstrate leadership and service throughout their high school years, including freshman and sophomore years.
